Coach opted for a completely reserve team and highlighted the plan to have almost all 100% for the Libertadores final
O Flamengo is focused on the Libertadores final. But, before going to Uruguay, place of the decision, Rubro-negro had an exciting duel against Grêmio. The Rio team opened 2-0 on the scoreboard, had one more player after 15 minutes into the second half, but ended up taking the opponent’s tie, in a late game in the second round of the Brasileirão.
After the end of the match, which took place at Arena do Grêmio, this Tuesday (23rd) night, the coach Renato Gaucho granted a press conference and analyzed the performance of its players. The coach opted to use a fully reserve team, saving reserves for Saturday’s decision.
“The game was good, caught, disputed, because it couldn’t be different. Grêmio is in a difficult situation in the championship. My team competed, created, managed to score two goals. Unfortunately we gave up the tie with one more player. But the Brazilian Championship is like that, there is no easy game“, he said Renato Gaucho, who went further on choosing the lineup:
“We did everything we could, so that we now have everyone on hand for the 27th. We managed to recover the players who were handed over to the medical department, players who, suddenly, are not 100% yet, but are recovered and available,” explained the coach.
Now the Flamengo travels to Uruguay and begins his concentration for the title of the liberators against palm trees, this Saturday, the 27th, at 5 pm, Brasília time, at the Estádio Centenário, in Montevideo.
