In addition to praising the team’s collective, the rubro-negro coach also spoke about individual performances in the match against Juventude
O Flamengo beat Juventude 3-1 this Wednesday (13), with goals from Kenedy, Pedro e Andreas Pereira, at Maracanã, for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. After the match, coach Renato Gaúcho gave a press conference and answered questions about the performance of the collective and some individual players.
“I said something at half-time and I shouldn’t even say now: it was a gala performance in the first 45 minutes. And we don’t even have the integration of a team that plays in a row. The only problem in the second half was that we settled a little on the scoreboard”, analyzed the captain of the Flamengo.
Renato Gaucho also took the opportunity to praise two players: Andreas Pereira, who scored a free kick – something that hadn’t happened at Flamengo for three years – and Kenedy, who made his first match as a starter and scored. The coach of the carioca rubro-negro made a point of praising the quality of his teammates.
“He is a different player (Andreas). He has a really good hit to the ball. And that will help us a lot. Kenedy surprised me. It’s been a long time since he started a game. I’ve been exchanging ideas with him, I’m releasing him little by little. I was happy for the goal he made too. A nice goal too“he exalted.
O Flamengo, now, will prepare for the next game. Rubro-negro will face Cuiabá, on Sunday, the 17th, at 8:30 pm, for the 27th round of the Brazilian Championship. The Rio team occupies the second position in the leaderboard, with 45 points conquered.
