‘Luce and the Rock’ tells the story of a young girl and a gigantic ‘Rock Creature’ who, although they seem to have nothing in common, together come to terms with their fear of the unknown. Raes previously broke through internationally with her animation film ‘Catherine’.

After the world premiere in Berlin, the film will be screened at the Brussels Anima Festival at the end of February. At a later stage, ‘Luce en de rock’ will also be broadcast on VRT and RTBF.

‘Shabu’, a documentary by Shamira Raphaëla, was also selected. The Belgian-Dutch co-production previously won the Prize for the Best Youth Film at the last edition of IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam), where it premiered. Yet another Flemish co-production, ‘The revenge of Knor’ by Mascha Halberstad, may officially open the Generation program of the renowned film festival on 10 February.
