A ten-year-old child who had been missing since early evening on Thursday in the parish of Palmeira, in the municipality of Braga, was found alive at around 10:30 pm, a source from the GNR in Braga told Lusa.
According to the source, the child was found in the neighboring parish of Dume by a woman who alerted the authorities. The National Republican Guard (GNR) believes that the child, who is autistic, has been lost.
GNR soldiers, Braga Sapadores Firefighters and Braga Volunteer Firefighters were involved in the searches, as well as the Judiciary Police (PJ).
According to the page of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) the alert for the disappearance of the child was given at 8:18 pm.
