From tomorrow, 500 new patrol cars arrive in Bogotá to reinforce security at critical points

This Wednesday, September 15, the director of the National Police -General Jorge Luis Vargas- announced that 500 new patrols will arrive in Bogotá starting tomorrow to reinforce security at critical points in the country’s capital.

And it is that through his Twitter account, General Vargas reported that “500 patrolmen were assigned to Bogotá and will begin their work this Thursday, September 16”; He also revealed that: “The force in the capital will be strengthened with another 1,000 additional men and women in mid-December.”

In addition, Vargas reported on this same social network that the Investigation and Intelligence work of the Police will be reinforced as of this Monday, September 20, with 1,751 soldiers in different units of the country.

It is noteworthy that Bogotá has been the target of robberies and homicides, which is why it launched the shock plan against insecurity.

On the other hand, the Director of the Police also pointed out that 2,830 young people passed the incorporation process and will become policemen of the Homeland: 1,024 women and 1,806 men begin their training process with the professional technical program that grants them all the competencies for their performance.
