São Paulo trio was in the city just to practice the scams in bank agencies
Three people were arrested on suspicion of participating in a gang specializing in ATM theft this Friday (14) in Dourados, 230 kilometers from Campo Grande. The suspects installed a device known as a ‘goat sucker’ at ATMs to remove envelopes deposited by customers.
The São Paulo trio identified as Cesar Kaue Barros da Silva, 24 years old, Lucas de Barros Ferreira, 30 years old and Gabriela Alves Silva, 24 years old, were in Dourados exclusively to apply the blows.
According to delegate Erasmo Cubas, responsible for the investigations that led to the arrest of the gang, the trio managed to apply a coup of R$ 1 thousand this morning. Those involved were arrested in a hotel in the central area of the city with the equipment used in the crime.
“The theft gang specializes in sucking goats and came from the city of São Paulo. They made a victim today in Dourados and with the characteristics we made the diligence and found out where they were staying”, summarized the delegate.
With the group, a card machine, a fake cash register, pen, cell phones and several credit and debit cards and clothes used in the practice of scams were seized. The trio was charged with theft by fraud, qualified theft by the competition of people and criminal association.
