The Government of Bahia published, in the Official Gazette this Saturday (4), the decree that regulates the career progression of indigenous teachers in the state. The announcement was made by Jerônimo Rodrigues on social media.
The document provides that the progression is in accordance with the performance evaluation, functional improvement, regular attendance and appreciation of the indigenous community, where the teaching unit is located.
Career progression is the process used to promote employees horizontally, that is, an advancement within the same position. For this, the Department of Education of Bahia will open enrollment for the functional progression of levels.
The career advancement project for non-indigenous teachers was approved in 2012 by then governor Jaques Wagner.
