O Guild came from two straight victories and, this Tuesday (23), at home, the team faced the reserves of the Flamengo. It was a chance to win three more points and change the unfavorable moment. But Tricolor Gaúcho started by losing 2-0, but managed to react, even with a player less, and drew the tie, in a late game in the second round of the Brazilian Championship.

After the end of the game, the defender Pedro Geromel analyzed the score against what he was trained in the last few days. The player admitted that it would be a complicated duel, but he did not hide that things did not go according to what was imagined before the ball rolled.

“We had a well-defined strategy. We knew it would be a very difficult game. Unfortunately it didn’t happen as we wanted. We suffered a 2-0, with one player less. But the team showed reaction power. We know that, together with the fans, we will not give up until the end. We are in a difficult situation, but we will fight while we have chances and we will do our best. Our goal is the same as the fan, which is not to drop out of division,” said Geromel.

Asked about the fact that the championship is coming to an end, Geromel commented on how the situation of the team is now: “Same thing as it was before. We have to do our duty. We have to win our games and that’s what we’ll try to do on Friday“.

Grêmio will face Bahia, on Friday (26), at Fonte Nova, at 7 pm, for the 36th round of the Brazilian Championship. The team from Rio Grande do Sul is in 18th place on the leaderboard, with 36 points won.
