Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics Simona Byles said the FBI had ignored her complaints about the U.S. team doctor Larry Nassarawho raped the athlete.

According to Biles, she complained several times to the FBI about Nassar’s actions, but the agency never responded to her statements and complaints from other athletes. She believes that the ignorance on the part of the FBI allowed the team doctor to continue the crimes, writes NBC News.

“I blame not only Nassar for what happened, but also the system that allowed him to commit these atrocities … We suffered and continue to suffer because the FBI did nothing to protect us … Those who helped him by their inaction must be held accountable.” – said the gymnast.

As the website kp.ru wrote, the American pedophile doctor Larry Nassar, who worked as a doctor for the US national gymnastics team for two decades, was sentenced in 2017 to 60 years in prison when he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.
