Heat come back at the end and beat Hawks

MIAMI (AP) — Tyler Herro had 24 points and the Miami Heat rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Atlanta Hawks 124-118 on Friday night.

Jimmy Butler returned after a three-game absence caused by a sprained ankle. Omer Yursteven finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds to help Miami pull within a game of Chicago for first place in the Eastern Conference.

PJ Tucker had 17 points, while Max Strus added 16 for the Heat, who have won seven at home.

Trae Young had 24 points for Atlanta, which rallied from an early 17-point deficit and went on to take a 10-point lead in the second half before blowing it. De’Andre Hunter had 20 points, Danilo Gallinari added 18, John Collins had 16 and Kevin Huerter finished with 15.

Atlanta didn’t make a field goal in the final 3:13. Herro made a pair of free throws with 46 seconds left to give Miami its first lead in the second half.

As the game concluded, the Heat celebrated with fans sitting courtside including rapper Drake and golfer Brooks Koepka.
