Marthe from K3 is infected with the corona virus. She will therefore not be able to be present live during the final of K2 looking for K3. “But we have an emergency plan ready,” said Studio 100 boss Gert Verhulst.

Who will replace Klaasje in the popular girl group K3 will be revealed next Saturday during the final of K2 looking for K3. However, the newcomer will not be personally welcomed by both other group members, Hanne and Marthe, because the latter cannot be there due to corona. Marthe De Pillecyn (25) tested positive, but is doing well.

The infection of Marthe does not endanger the final, says Gert Verhulst. “We have been taking into account the possibility of someone contracting corona since the start of the live shows. We have a contingency plan and it will go into effect now. The show will continue and Marthe’s contamination will not affect the election. The program will only look a little different visually.”

Singing together virtually

How exactly is not yet known, although it seems that Marthe will appear virtually in the program in one way or another. It seems already certain that she will perform a few new songs together with Hanne and finalists Diede, Amy, Julia or Celester. How that will be handled will only become clear on Saturday.

In the meantime, VTM and Studio 100 are also taking all possible precautions to safeguard the health of the participants. “Hanne and the four finalists receive a rapid test every day and we also of course respect the safety measures imposed. That means mouth masks and keep your distance,” says Jan Pieter Boodts of Studio 100. “But otherwise, the rehearsals with a view to the show next Saturday can continue.” (jdr)
