Huawei is back in the game. The P50 series runs on the Snapdragon 888, but without the 5G

If you were looking forward to the new flagship Huawei P50 smartphone, which is also one of the best photo cars on the market, you will probably be disappointed – the manufacturer will not sell it in the Czech Republic and will offer a lower (but also cheaper) Huawei Nova 9 model instead. Get the P50 officially, but it still opens. She is participating in this year’s photography competition Huawei Next Image Awards 2021.

As every year, Huawei will collect images taken by any Huawei smartphone in the competition, and the authors of the best of them will be rewarded with 70 interesting prizes. The main prize is a cash prize of $ 10,000, but no less interesting prizes are Huawei P50 smartphones. This year’s theme is “Together we are better” and competes in a total of ten categories with photos and video. Competition images can be sent directly from today until November 30, 2021 on the competition website.

They compete in the following 10 categories:

  • Portrait. Portrait photography tells rich and captivating human stories better than words could ever. It doesn’t matter if you took a picture of yourself, your loved ones or random people.
  • Monochrome. Monochrome images remove distracting colors and help the viewer focus on objects, textures, shapes, patterns, and composition. With a black and white photo, you can reflect the atmosphere or focus on the originality of the shot.
  • Color. Huawei smartphones are renowned for their ability to create vivid photos full of vitality. Show your true colors.
  • Image. Photography allows you to live in the present moment and encourages you to capture crucial moments and scenes. Create a picture that tells a powerful story, or immortalize an important memory forever.
  • Night. Thanks to the power of AI, Huawei smartphones capture incredible night scenes without the need for lightning. Get creative under cover of darkness and take a memorable night shot.
  • Telefotka. For many smartphone users, the zoomed photos are usually blurred or of poor quality. That can’t happen at Huawei. With a telephoto lens, you can learn important details and show off the clarity of your close-ups.
  • Super wide angle. Wide-angle lenses allow photographers to get as close to the subject as possible without neglecting essential elements in the background. Use your photography skills to make viewers feel like they are looking at the scene with their own eyes and not the photo.
  • Super Macro. In photography, as in life, small details are important. Explore a variety of macro photography topics and techniques, and demonstrate your camera’s ability to capture small details up close.
  • Story Maker. Shoot and create a 15-minute or shorter motion picture to express your creativity and share your story with moving pictures. Take the director’s chair and create a film masterpiece that you will present to the world.
  • Narrator. Unlike other categories, which allow you to upload only one photo, you can use a portfolio of photos (3-9 photos) in this category to express emotions, tell a story, record changes, or discover trends.
