Huge anti-corona demo in Dresden: protesters are scattered in Striesen

Dresden – Big alarm for the police: For several days now, pandemic deniers and right-wing extremists have been calling for an illegal demonstration this Thursday evening Dresden on.
At least 1,500 demonstrators are to come, in addition to the right-wing extremist “Free Saxony”, also mobilized Pegida and the local group of the “Identitarian Movement” to Dresden.
The police are out and about in the city with several water cannons and clearing tanks.

Update, 7.45 p.m.: Demo now also on Stübelallee and on Strassburger Platz
Another protest group is now moving across Stübelallee, north of the Great Garden. Some demonstrators want this afterwards and also go there.
Other demonstrators are on Strassburger Platz.
In order to have a good view of the demonstration, the police are also in the air with a helicopter. He is apparently concentrating on the new protest on Stübelallee.
Update, 7.15 p.m.: Police are pushing demonstrators to Schillerplatz
In the meantime, the on-site officials assessed the protest as a forbidden gathering. The group is pushed towards Schillerplatz. If you refuse, you can expect a personal identification by the police.
The demonstrators largely followed orders. On the way, however, they mobbed counter-demonstrators who were standing with signs on the side of the road.
Update, 6:53 p.m .: “Offline networking” suspect on site
Sebastian A. is accused of having participated in the “offline network Dresden” and is also present at the demonstration at the university clinic this Thursday evening.
