Ian Falconer, author of Olivia the pig’s children’s books and illustrator of many of the magazine’s covers The New Yorker, died on Tuesday at the age of 63. The illustrator who designed more than 30 covers of the iconic North American magazine and received the Caldecott Honor Book medal in 2001 for Oliviahis first book, died of kidney failure in a hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut, in the United States, his agent told the The New York Times.
