In seven regions of the Russian Federation, 180 thousand people were left without electricity due to bad weather

Snowfall and gale-force winds, which were observed in several regions last night, caused power outages. In total, about 180 thousand people were left without electricity, reported on Saturday at the Ministry of Energy of Russia in its official Telegram channel.

In the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea, 60 thousand people were in the disaster zone, in Dagestan – almost 55 thousand people, in the Rostov Region – 24 thousand, in the Volgograd Region – more than 23 thousand, in the Voronezh Region and Kalmykia – two thousand people each.

In Stavropol due to bad weather introduced emergency mode. A strong wind provoked a power outage in 21 settlements and 30,000 houses with a population of about 86,000 people.

“At the moment, the movement of cars and pedestrians in settlements has been restored,” said the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Stavropol Territory. – Now 18 settlements in six municipalities remain disconnected from power supply, namely more than 23 thousand households with a population of 59 thousand people, including 16 thousand children. Emergency recovery work in the region continues. 208 people and 66 units of equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences of bad weather. There are enough forces and means.

Due to the weather, rescuers advised residents to refrain from long trips and hikes. It is necessary to move carefully along the streets, be careful near buildings, on the roofs of which heavy masses of snow accumulate. In strong winds, weakly fortified structures and trees should be avoided.
