Festival aimed at new talents in music would be held between March and June this year.

The increase in cases of covid-19 canceled the public notice that provided for the selection of a project for the realization of the festival “MS é Show” in Mato Grosso do Sul. The measure was announced this Friday (14) by the secretary of the Secretary of Culture and Citizenship, João César Mattogrosso.

In a note, João said that “unfortunately, there is no way for us to launch a new product of the magnitude that we were thinking, with a large audience, at a time like this, of an increase in cases of covid-19 and influenza”, he justified.

The canceled public call notice (n° 010/2021/FCMS) would select a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (Oscip) to be a partner of the State Government in holding the festival.

The proposal was to hold the event across the state, from March 30 to June 30, 2022, to reveal new music talents.

“We are sorry because the process was advanced, but we hope, later on, to be able to put into practice this festival designed to discover great talents from Mato Grosso do Sul. We, as members of the Government, have to be aware and responsible at this time of high spread of diseases”, added the secretary.

Candidates already registered in the canceled public notice will be notified of the decision by electronic message.
