Index - Abroad - A car drove into the crowd at a Christmas event

A car drove into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA on Sunday, injuring more than twenty and killing several in the attack, police chief Dan Thompson said.

The tragedy took place before five o’clock in the afternoon, and the police have not yet ruled out that it was an act of terrorism, as it is questionable in the background whether the driver was deliberately driving the car in the crowd at all. The suspect has already been arrested and detained.

According to the fire department, 11 adults and 12 children had to be transported to hospital, and the mayor said the danger had already subsided.

As we walked between the buildings, we saw the street SUV driven through the gas on the parade route. Then we heard a loud click and the deafening cries and screams of the people who were hit

Said a member of the city council in nearby West Allis.

Other eyewitnesses said shots were fired and police also opened fire on the vehicle breaking through the roadblocks. Police called on residents to avoid the downtown area.
