The municipality of Nazaré, in the Recôncavo region of Bahia, is promoting, between the 10th and 12th of March, the first edition of FLINA – International Literary Festival. The event will pay homage to poet, teacher and self-taught journalist Anísio Melhor. And there will be a vast program of free activities, such as lectures, conversations with writers, workshops, book launches, soirées.
The party also features the FLININHA space for children, with storytelling, launching of children’s books and paintings.
“Flininha will be a magical moment to awaken in children the pleasure of reading, reinforcing the importance of the book as a disseminator of knowledge”reports Ana Lúcia dos Santos Soares, curator of FLINA.
With the purpose of valuing and strengthening local and popular culture, the meeting is organized by the Museum of Nazaré.
