Lhe federal government, meeting in a select committee on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, reached an agreement on a bonus that companies that have recorded good results during the coronavirus crisis could grant their employees, reports GARDEN News at the end of the night.
The agreement covers a bonus of 500 euros net which could be granted to workers in addition to the standard of 0.4% wage increase.
The unions can now negotiate this measure with the employers.
It is not determined what profit must be achieved in order for a company to pay this bonus.
The federal government further believes that an increase in the minimum wage should be considered, but in stages, reports la VRT. The executive is considering tax cuts to help finance this increase in the minimum wage.
Negotiations must continue on this aspect, however, but it seems certain that the government is ready to support the effort.
