The National Institute of Traffic and Land Transportation (Intrant) registered and labeled more than seven thousand motorcycles until Thursday as part of the national plan that it launched.
This plan is part of the citizen security strategy announced by the Dominican Government, chaired by Luis Abinader, the Intrant indicated on its Twitter.
It is about a pilot of the registry that began in the Cristo Rey sector of the capital, in the facilities of the Los Cachorros Club, as well as in the parking lot of the Zoo and the Quisqueya stadium.
For registration, people must present their identity card, carry the motorcycle, the helmet and the receipt of payment for the category 01 license.
The Intrant explained at the beginning of the plan that the measure was adopted because there are unidentified motorcycles with the plate or the corresponding documents.
Each protective helmet will have a unique code that will be essential for the registration of the procedures to obtain the motorcycle license plate.
