ISS movie crew was told about preparations for landing on Soyuz MS-18

The crew of the Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft, consisting of cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky, director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild, were instructed on how to prepare for landing. The landing of the Soyuz MS-18 is scheduled for the morning of October 17, southeast of the Kazakh city of Dzhezkazgan.

“To pull up, exhaling air, waist and shoulder belts … Do not do anything with your hands before landing in order to avoid injuries …”, – Sergey Malikhov, an expert from the Energia Rocket and Space Corporation, told the movie crew. He added that at an altitude of 200-300 meters, it will be necessary to stop reporting, “prepare for landing, clench your teeth … fix your body, hands – on the central arm of the chair and wait for landing,” RIA Novosti.

According to the forecast of meteorologists, cloudless weather with temperatures plus 11-16 degrees is expected in the landing area. The landing will involve about 200 servicemen, Mi-8MTV5-1 helicopters, An-12 and An-26 aircraft, as well as about 20 units of special equipment, including five Sinyaya Ptitsa amphibious search and evacuation vehicles.

Let us recall that the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft with cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, director Klim Shipenko and actress Yulia Peresild was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on October 5. After 3.5 hours, the crew arrived at the ISS. Filming began on October 6th. The working title of the first feature film to be filmed in space is Challenge.

As reported TASS, the crew on board the ISS has already filmed most of the materials that will be included in the film.
