Real Madrid cannot rely on Eden Hazard in the competition match of the fourteenth match day in La Liga on Sunday to visit Granada. The captain of the Red Devils has contracted stomach flu, Real coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed on Saturday during the press moment.
Hazard remains in the sucker alley. In recent weeks, he played 63 minutes for the Red Devils in the World Cup qualifier against Estonia, in which he did not leave a fantastic impression. Afterwards, he let the move to Wales pass him by. Hazard returned to Madrid with Thibaut Courtois and has also appeared in training in recent days.
“Hazard feels like all players who don’t get much action: not happy,” said Ancelotti. “The opposite would be bad. He also had bad luck. He is struggling with gastroenteritis and has to stay at home for two to three days. So he is not available.”
The Madrid record purchase did not go further than 415 minutes in eleven games for the Royal this season, with zero goals and one meager assist. In the meantime, he has lost his base place to the Brazilian Vinicius. In the past two seasons, he largely fell into the water due to persistent injuries.
