Salvador’s birthday this year will be celebrated in style and with attractions on par with Brazil’s first capital. According to the Alô Alô Bahia website, Ivete Sangalo is the first name confirmed to perform at the event that will celebrate the 473 years of the Bahian capital.
According to the publication, the artist will perform on April 2, at Farol da Barra. Other names will still be announced by the mayor of Salvador, Bruno Reis (União Brasil).
“We are going to put on a big show to mark the anniversary of our city, in addition to announcements of significant amounts of resources in different areas, launches of new programs and new projects”, said the municipal manager. The city hall is also negotiating for the event to be broadcast throughout the country.
