James Wan wraps up Aquaman 2 and opens up about the set of Lost Kingdom

“Finally, we filmed the last day of Aquaman 2 in Malibu …”

A month ago, Jason Momoa announced the end of filmingAquaman 2. Obviously, no one had warned the actor that he was still going to have to work a little. Because it is only today that the director James Wan | confirms the conclusion of production!

In a long message posted on the networks, he congratulates himself on this shooting which will have lasted almost 6 months: “And finally, finally, finally, we filmed the last day ofAquaman 2 in Malibu with these two gentlemen [Jason Momoa et Patrick Wilson]. Yes, we are very wet… A lot, in this film in fact. Many thanks to the whole amazing team who worked so hard and tirelessly. Especially the UK part where we shot 95% of the film. Truly some of the finest artisans and professionals I have had the good fortune to work with. And a big shout out to the amazing units in Hawaii and Los Angeles. We can’t wait to share this little film with all of you.”

Jason Momoa will return to play Arthur Curry. Patrick Wilson will return as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play Manta, Dolph Lundgren will be Nereus and Amber Heard will be Mera.

David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick wrote the screenplay. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be released in cinemas on December 14, 2022 in France.
