Jeen-Yuhs: Netflix unveils the teaser of the documentary event on Kanye West

20 years in the life and career of the multi-faceted artist.

Documentaries about rap and pop stars abound on streaming platforms, and it will soon be Kanye West’s turn. Kim Kardashian’s ex, now seen on the arm of actress Julia Fox (Uncut Gems), will be revealed in Jeen-Yuhs, a film that will be shown in a few days at the Sundance Film Festival before hitting Netflix.

Jeen-Yuhs, ie genius (genius in French). A term that sums up the creative brilliance of this artist touches everything, at the same time producer, rapper, designer and business man. But also his legendary arrogance: in the teaser unveiled by the platform we see him, very young, already proclaiming himself as a genius. A genius who also has its dark sides, which the document will not hide, from the tragic death of his mother, Donda West, to his controversial candidacy for the American presidential election in 2020.

Directed by the duo Coodie & Chike (best known for making music videos for Kanye), Jeen-Yuhs is presented by Netflix as a trilogy and will be released in three parts, starting February 16.
