Jupille: Two people arrested

Two suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in a fire started on Wednesday morning in Jupille and in which a lady was intoxicated, indicates the Liège prosecutor’s office. As a reminder, on Wednesday, a fire broke out around 8 a.m. in a house located at number 16 rue Armand Michaud in Jupille.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered that a person was trapped inside the building. The victim was evacuated by the firefighters. She was then taken care of by the emergency services and transported to a hospital in the region. This lady was intoxicated. At the time of this writing, the vital prognosis of this person is still engaged.

Another person outside the building was in shock. She was also taken to hospital. The fire started on the ground floor of the house, at the bedroom level. It appeared that the fire had been deliberately put out. Two suspects were arrested. They are two people unknown to justice. They were referred and heard Wednesday afternoon. The suspects deny any involvement in the facts. The case has been put on trial.
