Big names in surfing like Kelly Slater, Frederico Morais and Gabriel Medina gathered at Praia dos Supertubos this weekend for Meo Rip curl pro Portugal, the third stage of the world surf circuit that takes place in Peniche until the 16th of March.
The Portuguese Frederico Morais was last Sunday in the elimination round of the elite competition of the World Surfing League (WSL), behind the North American Kelly Slater and the Japanese Kanoa Igarashi.
With the elimination of Frederico Morais, Portugal is without the only representative in the men’s list, still counting with surfers Teresa Bonvalot and Yolanda Hopkins in the women’s competition.
