Thanks to victories of Kim Clijsters in the singles and Kirsten Flipkens in the mixed doubles, New York Umpire has booked its second win in eight matches on the World Team Tennis on Monday. New York Umpire defeated the San Diego Aviators 20-16.

38-year-old Clijsters won her third singles victory against CoCo Vandeweghe. The 29-year-old American, at the beginning of 2018 still the number 9 in the world but now 173rd in the WTA ranking, lost 5-0.

Then Kirsten Flipkens and American Christopher Eubanks won 5-4 in the mixed doubles. Clijsters and Flipkens played a double match together, which they lost 5-2 to Vandeweghe and Caroline Dolehide.

New York Umpire remains last in the standings with two wins and six losses. The Springfield Lasers (6z-2n) and the Orange County Breakers (5z-3n) are first and second, respectively.
