Kim Kardashian reveals that Kanye West’s song Lost In the World was inspired by a poem he wrote for her 30th birthday

Exactly 10 years ago today, Kanye West released his fifth studio album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, with his wife Kim Kardashian revealing the inspiration for one of the album’s songs.

Kardashian, 40, shared a photo of her and West, 43, along with the birthday card West made for her 30th birthday.

As it turns out, that poem would ultimately become the lyrics for West’s song Lost In the World from that album.

‘For those that don’t know the story behind Lost In The World …Kanye couldn’t come up with some of the lyrics but then realized he had them in a poem he had written me that was my birthday card he gave me for my 30th birthday,’ she said.

‘He took the poem he wrote me and made it the song. I keep everything! Swipe to see the card,’ she concluded.
