López Obrador confirms agreement with Cuba to acquire anticovid-19 vaccines

Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico, confirmed today the existence of an agreement between his Government with Cuba for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19.

In the usual morning press conference from the National Palace, the president expressed that there is a cooperative relationship between the two nations, especially in the medical field, and there is the will to continue it.

López Obrador also highlighted the links of international solidarity and cooperation for development between his country and Cuba.

This September 16, during the civic-military parade for the 211st anniversary of the start of Mexico’s war of independence, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel highlighted the historic ties of brotherhood between the two countries.
