Third WTA title for Badosa

The Spanish Paul Badosa (WTA 9) has won the WTA tournament in Sydney, Australia (hard court/703,580 dollars). In the final, 24-year-old Badosa defeated Czech Barbora Krejcikova (WTA 4) in three sets: 6-3, 4-6 and 7-6 (7/4) after 2 hours and 22 minutes.

Just before the start of the Australian Open, Badosa once again underlined the good form. For the Spanish, it was the third WTA title in her career, after victories last year in Belgrade and Indian Wells.

Krejcikova also has three tournaments to her name, with her win at Roland Garros last year as an absolute highlight. She also won the tournaments in Strasbourg and Prague.
