A 27-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday (14) while driving a Ranger model pickup truck that was stolen in Minas Gerais. The arrest took place during inspection by the DOF (Department of Border Operations) in the rural area of Ponta Porã, 323 kilometers from the capital.
Despite being traveling with the vehicle, the suspect told the police that he did not know the origin or the name of the owner of the vehicle when it was intercepted during an inspection blockade on the MS-164 highway.
During a check on the police systems, the agents found that the vehicle had been stolen on September 2, in the city of São Gonçalo do Sapucaí (MG). When the vehicle and the suspect were caught, they were taken to the Ponta Porã Civil Police station.
