More than two thousand servicemen of the Krasnodar Territory have begun to transfer to Crimea, where part of the program of large-scale command and staff exercises of the Southern Military District will take place at the Opuk military training ground. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.
The convoys redeployed to the peninsula include more than 200 units of wheeled vehicles.
– On the march, servicemen will perform control tasks via closed radio communication channels, as well as protection from fire damage, from the effects of weapons of mass destruction of a simulated enemy, – the press service specified. – A special commission of the headquarters of the Southern Military District will assess the implementation of combat readiness measures, the state of weapons and military equipment, material and technical support.
The servicemen will practice practical actions within the framework of bilateral regimental and battalion tactical exercises at 25 training grounds in the district. In total, about 8,000 servicemen were involved in the command and staff exercises with the formations and formations of the Southern Military District. About 350 units of weapons and military equipment from the Air Force and Air Defense formations, formations and units of the combat arms and special forces of district subordination, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet and the Caspian Flotilla were involved.
