The second day of the “Campão Cultural” program includes the festival’s first musical attraction, as well as a theater and dance show.

In the Praça do Bairro Dom Antônio Barbosa, Cia. Talagadá, from São Paulo, presents the show “Rmeu e Julieta”. The play is an adaptation of the classic by William Shakespeare and brings a scenario amidst garbage, junk and everything that is discarded by people, where five homeless people try to subvert the situation in a playful way, staging their version of the love drama. Grupo Corpo, from Minas Gerais, brings two dance performances to Teatro Glauce Rocha. The first performance is entitled “Gira”, which features movements inspired by Umbanda rites.

Exu, the orixá without which the cult does not function, is the poetic motif that guides the musical themes created by the jazz band Metá Metá for the presentation. For this performance, the entire group immersed themselves in the universe of Afro-Brazilian religions. Choreographer Rodrigo Pederneiras brought movements from the rites of celebrations, both Candomblé and Umbanda, especially the tours by Exu.

The second show, “Primavera”, is also choreographed by Rodrigo. The music is on account of the duo Palavra Cantada. There are 14 songs adapted for instrumental, with various musical styles, from jazz to Afro percussion. In performance, the duos, trios and quartets of dancers do not touch, except for three pas-de-deux, with a couple who are also partners in life. Both shows take place at Teatro Glauce Rocha and the classification is from 14 years old.
