A two-hour TV movie, which could well serve as a pilot for a new series …
It’s an iconic TV duo from the 1990s that will come back to rule our screens. Nash Bridges and his partner Joe Dominguez will meet again soon on USA Network, in an improbable revival, 20 years later. This reunion will take place over Thanksgiving weekend.
It will be a two-hour TV movie, which will be broadcast on Saturday, November 27, with obviously Don Johnson and Cheech Marin reprising their cult roles, as evidenced by this first official poster. They have graying times, but still so stylish, and the yellow car (a Plymouth Barracuda) will be part of the party again! Now elite investigators for the San Francisco Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, they will set out again on a mission, for an adventure that could well be the starting point of a new series, of which this TV movie hopes to be the pilot.
L’original Nash Bridges was created by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and lasted six seasons – a total of 122 episodes – on CBS, between March 1996 and May 2001. Cuse, who currently has a deal with competitor ABC Studios, is not involved in this revival.
