The activity, which took place within the framework of the Federal Culture program and had the contribution of the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity as well as the National Ministry of Culture, presented tools workers from municipal cultural spaces and social and political organizations to prevent and respond to situations of gender violence.
Belen MolinaSecretary of Culture and Education, explained that “this articulation with the national ministries, thanks to the management of our mayor Walter Votoallows a transversal approach to the gender perspective seeking a more just society.
Molina thanked “the federal and active work of our national government, which today allows us to have a battery of programs and lines of work of the ministries in our city”. Likewise, the municipal official explained that “it is important to stake of all men and women, it is something fundamental when it comes to approaching the gender perspective from the culture”.
For her part, the Secretary for Women, Natasha Aldallastressed that “this articulated work that we carry out with Belén is what the mayor asks of us Walter Voto, thinking of a transversal approach in all areas. This workshop comes to present the tools so that you know what to do in certain situations”.
Concluding, Aldalla underlined with respect to the Women’s House that “This space is available to everyone.. From the Municipality of Ushuaia we want to continue generating tools and work to guarantee the extension of rights and access to them”.
