For the second time in two weeks, wheel nuts on ambulances have apparently been deliberately loosened in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Friedland – For the second time in two weeks, wheel nuts on ambulances have apparently been deliberately loosened in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

On Sunday, the police announced that a vehicle from the Friedland rescue station (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district) was affected at the weekend. The ambulance was no longer drivable and had to be towed. The property damage is estimated at 1000 euros.

The police suspect that the wheel nuts of a wheel were loosened during an operation from Friday evening to Sunday morning and are asking for information from the population.

A similar case happened in Wismar two weeks ago. On the way back from an operation, the driver of the ambulance noticed an imbalance in the wheels and stopped, according to the police.

The police are also investigating in this case because of dangerous intervention in road traffic.
