On Thursday afternoon, police officers in Berlin-Neukölln discovered a harvested cannabis plantation in an apartment.

Two suspects were arrested, police said on Friday.

At around 5:40 p.m., an indication of a strong smell of cannabis led the police to the plantation and containers with suspected cocaine in a building on Karl-Marx-Strasse.

Officials temporarily arrested the 32-year-old tenant. Shortly thereafter, they also arrested a second man suspected of using the apartment for drug deals.

During further searches, the police discovered narcotics, several thousand euros and a money counting machine.

These finds and the car of the second arrested were confiscated.
