As part of the Good Deed campaign, residents of the Moscow Region collected and sent thousands of tons of humanitarian aid to the Donbass, Governor Andrey Vorobyov said on Sputnik radio. One of the main tasks was to deliver everything collected to the addressees. The governor emphasized that the desire to help the inhabitants of the LDNR visibly rallied people, and thanked everyone who joined the action.

“The most important thing is not even the thousands of tons that we have collected. The most important thing is the unity of children, schoolchildren, families. We do not have a single school that would remain on the sidelines, where the topic of the possibility of assistance would not be discussed, ”said Andrey Vorobyov.

The governor also said that for the first time in two years, the march of the Immortal Regiment in the Moscow region will take place in the traditional way. The procession will begin on May 9 at 12:00. Anyone can take part in the procession.

“It was impossible for two years because of the covid, but now there is such an opportunity. I am sure that in every city of the Moscow region, as before, many families, fathers, mothers with their children will come out. It is very valuable and very nice. It doesn’t matter what size the Immortal Regiment is, it is important that it will be held in every city, veterans will be honored near each memorial,” the governor said.

Commemorative events on Victory Day in the Moscow region will be held in more than 100 places. Now there are 1360 veterans left in the region – those who participated in the battles. About 90 of them will go to Red Square.
