Without having his identification disclosed, the man responsible for the death of Mikael Douglas Sobrinho, 24 years old, was arrested. The young man was found dead on October 5, on Rua Marques de Herval, in Bairro Nova Lima, in Campo Grande. The author’s arrest took place this Friday (18).
Mikael had his hands handcuffed behind his back and had bullet holes in his shoulder. His body was charred and found by residents of the region that Wednesday morning. Upon being arrested, the perpetrator of the crime confessed to what he did, but the motive for the murder was not revealed.
According to the Civil Police, during the statement he said that he asphyxiated Mikael and set fire to the body while the young man was alive. As for the shots, the arrested man said that his accomplice was responsible, whose name was not released.
The arrest took place during the execution of a search and seizure warrant, which aimed to collect evidence at the home of the author, who was the main suspect in the investigation. Inside the residence, the police found a cell phone with messages about the murder and a slipper used at the murder scene.
The perpetrator was indicted for aggravated homicide for the use of fire, asphyxia and resources that hinder or make it impossible for the victim to defend himself. There is no information about the second person involved in the murder.
