Vitória left verdão in fifth place in the competition, while Bragantino is seventh

Palmeiras beat Red Bull Bragantino 2-0, at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, this Saturday (14), for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship. The victory leaves Verdão in fifth position in the table, with nine points. Massa Bruta is in seventh place, also with nine points.
The home team almost opened the scoring three minutes into the first half, when Dudu took advantage of the goalkeeper’s leftover and kicked hard. Cleiton held the ball over the line. Bragantino scared in the 16th minute. Nathan kicked through the middle and Weverton saved.
Palmeiras opened the scoring in the 30th minute. Danilo took advantage of Gustavo Scarpa’s penalty in the area and deflected it with a header to swing the nets. At 48, Sorriso kicked hard and the ball passed close to Weverton’s goal in another chance for Bragantino.
The second half started truncated. At 11 minutes, Raphael Veiga scored with Dudu and kicked hard, but stopped in Cleiton’s defense. At 34, Breno Lopes invaded the Massa Bruta area, kicked and stopped at Cleiton. In the last minute of the game, Verdão scored the second. Raphael Veiga, from a penalty, moved the goalkeeper and stamped the Palmeiras triumph.
