A baby has died following a Russian attack on a maternity hospital in the Ukrainian region of Zaporizhia, annexed by Moscow.
“On the night of November 23, in the city of Vilniansk, in the Zaporizhia region, a two-story building where a maternity unit operated was destroyed by a rocket attack,” a Kiev rescuer said on social media.
“Following the attack, a baby, born in 2022, died,” he added.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of “terror and death”, referring directly to the attack that hit the maternity hospital.
“The enemy has decided once again to accomplish through terror and murder what it has not been able to do in nine months” since the Feb. 24 invasion, Zelensky said.
