Year after year, students clash with their parents over poor performance at school.

More and more schoolchildren and parents use the certificate hotline every year. Trouble is inevitable again this year.

Dusseldorf – At the end of the school year there are reports with grades and therefore often trouble. The district governments in North Rhine-Westphalia therefore offer one each worry phone on.

The district government announced on Wednesday about its offer that parents and students could primarily clarify legal issues there.

Topics could be that the grading is considered unfair or questions are asked about the future school career.

The district government answers questions from the school types Realschule, Gymnasium, Comprehensive School, Secondary School, Community School and Vocational College.

For questions relating to elementary, secondary and special schools, the certificate hotline at the respective school authorities in the independent towns and districts is responsible.

The number of calls is often large. The Arnsberg district government’s testimonials hotline alone receives around 100 inquiries each time.

Parents and students alike asked how the school can continue, even if things are not going smoothly. “It’s always an emotional issue,” said a spokeswoman in Arnsberg.
