Located in East Africa, in Lake Victoria, the islet of Migingo has one of the highest population densities in the world. It accommodates several hundred people, coming from Uganda or Kenya, on an area smaller than a football field. Both countries have territorial claims on this piece of land, close to the Kenyan coast, which offers valuable fishing rights. Ugandans, about a third of the population, coexist there with Kenyans, under the watchful eye of law enforcement from both nations.
