The Chilean Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday 4,326 new positive patients for the Covid-19 disease, with a positivity for Sar Cov-2 in the last 24 hours.

Health authorities announced that “the variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 2 percent and 37 percent for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively,” reflecting an increase in people with the disease.
“Of the 4,326 new cases, 43 percent are diagnosed by antigen tests, 29 percent originate from Active Case Search (BAC) and 15 percent of those notified are asymptomatic,” said the Chilean health agency.

On the other hand, the health portfolio confirmed that the daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 15.14 percent, while the regions with the highest rate of confirmed assets in the last week are Valparaíso, O’Higgins, Coquimbo and Metropolitana.
Other data offered by the ministry corroborate that the Atacama region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, succeeded by the regions of Coquimbo, Valparaíso and Biobío.

The total number of people diagnosed with Sar Cov-2, which causes the disease, reaches 3,906,107, of which 40,449 patients are in the active stage and there have been nine deaths from causes associated with Covid-19, with a total accumulated in Chile of 58,286 deaths since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
