Without Djordjevic, Brimah and Buysse, Ostend achieved a clear 63-78 victory on the basis of a dominating third quarter. The defending champion leads 2-0.

Ostend opened the best with a series of three-pointers: 3-9 and 11-20. Bergen quickly repaired the damage in the second act. The Borains then limited Ostend to eleven units. Thanks to a 9-0 run by Nzekwesi and Nichols, Bergen took a 34-31 lead to the locker room. The eight ball losses and the weak free throws (3 out of 10) weighed heavily on Ostend.

In the third quarter, the people of Ostend were in control. They finished efficiently and they closed the defense perfectly. That exemplary collective had enough of those ten minutes to decide the match. A Booth bomb brought the twenty-something (52-72) on the scoreboard after 35 minutes. Randolph (20 points at 71%, 2 rebounds, 1 steal) was the exponent of the Ostend as a whole. (rpo)
