Colombian police released the image of a man suspected of involvement in the execution of prosecutor Marcelo Pecci, 45, on Tuesday morning (10), in Colombia. According to witnesses, the prosecutor was attacked by two men, one of whom was of foreign origin.

The pair reportedly paid 200,000 Colombian pesos (the equivalent of R$250.41) for the 30-minute rental of the jet skis, used to reach the private beach where the prosecutor was killed, at the Decamerón hotel, in the province of Barú, in Cartagena de Indias. The whole action, however, would have lasted about 16 minutes.

After murdering the prosecutor, the criminals returned to the place where they rented the jet skis, left the watercraft and fled. A hotel security guard was also wounded in the shooting. In a statement released to the Colombian press, the Decamerón hotel said that it would not disclose further details of the execution, but that it was at the disposal of the police during the investigation.

The director general of the Colombian National Police, General Jorge Luis Vargas Valencia, went to the city of Cartagena to lead the search for the killers of prosecutor Marcello Pecci. Five high-ranking Colombian police investigators were also sent to help with the investigation, which even has the support of US authorities.
