Cuba pays homage to Mozart

A new edition of the Mozart Habana Festival, which pays homage to the illustrious Austrian composer, will take place until November 27, and will be dedicated to Dr. Eusebio Leal.

The festival, which is held in the main concert halls of the city, such as the Lyceum Mozartiano in Havana, the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francisco de Asís and the Ignacio Cervantes hall, has theoretical exchanges and master classes given by renowned interpreters of the genre in Cuba and the world.

The event, organized by the Lyceum Mozartiano de La Habana, with the support of institutions such as the Office of the City Historian, the Esteban Salas Musical Heritage Office, the Austrian Embassy in Cuba and the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation, among others, has announced, for its closure, a concert performance in the Cathedral of Havana, with music by Esteban Salas, performed by the Cantores de Cienfuegos and the chamber choirs of Matanzas, Exaudi and the choir of the University of the Arts, together with the Havana Lyceum Orchestra.
