Brussels rapper Damso won the Ultratop Streaming Award 2021 on Thursday. This prize is awarded for the seventh time by the Belgian Recorded Music Association and Ultratop. The prize rewards the Belgian artist whose work is streamed the most in our country.

Damso, who can recently be heard on the new album by the Brussels singer Angèle, has already won the prize in 2017, 2018 and 2020. He is the first artist to win the award no fewer than four times.

“Damso is an exceptional talent, a fantastic artist that we can all be proud of”, reacts Patrick Guns, chairman of BRMA-Ultratop and managing director at Universal Music Belgium. “Every new song and album brings new fans and even more streams.”

His musical repertoire achieved no less than 272.7 million streams in Belgium, of which more than 47.3 million streams in 2021. According to the BRMA, this makes him “the undisputed Belgian king of streaming”.
