Federal deputies Carlos Zarattini (PT-SP) and Reginaldo Lopes (PT-MG) presented this Monday, 20, a request for a request to the Chamber’s Mines and Energy Commission for Paulo Guedes, Minister of Economy, to be summoned to discuss Petrobras’ pricing policy and its impacts.
The parliamentarians also invited former Petrobras president José Mauro Ferreira Coelho to go to the House to talk about his management at the company, which ended on Monday. He resigned from his post after a new fuel price readjustment.
The same request was made in relation to the Minister of Mines and Energy, Adolfo Sachsida, but he is already going to the Commission this Tuesday as a guest to speak on the matter.
In the application, the deputies stated that “the uncontrolled increase in the prices of strategic derivatives, such as natural gas and diesel, are making fundamental sectors of our economy unfeasible, in addition to massively affecting the population, due to the increase in inflation”.
They also believe that the equalization of international fuel prices and the privatization of refineries are responsible for the successive increases in fuel prices.
The deputies also accuse the president Jair Bolsonaro of “trying to deceive public opinion by firing the president of Petrobras and the minister of Mines and Energy”.
